The following evaluation processes take place in each school annually.

Single Central Record Audit

The Single Central Record for all schools within the Trust is audited twice a year as part of our Study Tour arrangements. Key successes and areas for development are identified with timescales for action.

Website compliance check

An annual website compliance check is completed in the first four weeks of the academic year to ensure the safeguarding policy, links to local safeguarding partners and details of staff are up to date. In addition, the websites for all schools within the Trust are audited twice a year as part of our Study Tour arrangements. Key successes and areas for development are identified with timescales for action.

Safeguarding training for staff

All staff receive safeguarding training on appointment and annually thereafter. In addition, staff receive regular updates and briefings on a weekly basis throughout the year, reminding them to remain vigilant of safeguarding issues.

Safeguarding Annual Audit

All schools within the Trust complete an annual review of Safeguarding and present the report, with findings to the Local Governing Body.

Designated Safeguarding Lead forum

Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) meet regularly throughout the year under the leadership of the Trust DSL to share good practice and continually develop their skills and knowledge. All DSLs within The Two Counties Trust receive external supervision, a statutory requirement for safeguarding professionals.

Student and Family Safeguarding Survey

The safeguarding of our students is of paramount importance to us and in order to gain feedback and in turn develop our arrangements we ask families and students to tell us how well we have dealt with issues and whether our students feel safe in our schools.
