The Two Counties Trust is a medium-size Trust operating across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The Trust was formed on the 1st April 2016 and in the first four years grew rapidly under the leadership of Dick Vasey the founding CEO. From 2020 to 2025 the Trust entered a period of consolidation focussing on ensuring schools secured good Ofsted judgements and establishing a strong operating model, much of this was completed under the leadership of Wesley Davies, the Trust’s current CEO.

The Trust has established a national reputation for high-quality professional learning and its inclusive approaches that benefit the students who need it the most.
