We are delighted to welcome Allestree Woodlands School to The Two Counties Trust, making them the tenth school in our family across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
This exciting milestone follows more than a year of close collaboration between the school’s leadership team, including Headteacher, Gemma Penny, the Governing Body and colleagues from across the Trust. As of 1st September 2025, Allestree Woodlands is proudly part of our growing community.
The Two Counties Trust is committed to enhancing students’ life choices by supporting schools to achieve meaningful and sustained improvement. This vision is closely aligned with the ethos of Allestree Woodlands School, which has made significant progress in recent years. Executive Headteacher, Derek Hobbs, will now work alongside Gemma Penny and the whole school community to continue this journey, building on recent successes while providing a compelling learning culture and a high-value curriculum that prepares students for the world we share.
We are grateful to all stakeholders who contributed their views during the consultation process. Their feedback was invaluable and the response was overwhelmingly positive about the school joining our Trust.
