At The Two Counties Trust (TTCT) we are continually searching for innovative ways to provide opportunities and experiences to enhance students’ life choices. During the run-up towards an exam season, this section of our mission statement becomes extra focused towards our Year 11 students and their revision strategies. In the 2023/24 academic year, TTCT launched the ‘Summer Masterclass Series’, a collection of online masterclasses delivered by Trust Subject Leads. Building on this foundation, we are proud to introduce LearnED, an online platform designed to take revision support to another level.
LearnED is a comprehensive resource bank filled to the brim with dedicated revision resources. Year 11 students can log in, choose their subject and access a wide range of carefully selected, high quality revision materials, including 100% Sheets and Masterclass videos. Our Trust Subject Leads are constantly creating and adding a wide range of further resources to the site. These members of staff operate across all nine schools within the Trust and are truly best placed to ensure to ensure the best possible resources are available for our students.
With the resources and content creation led by our Trust Subject Leads, the TTCT IT team worked hard to build an online platform where these materials could be stored. Working from frameworks provided by our subject specialists, IT staff were able to develop a system that is easy to access and simple to navigate.
The Trust’s Marketing and Communications Team also played a key role in ensuring the platform is professionally branded and visually aligned with the Trust, while clearly communicating its purpose to students.’
LearnEd is currently designed to support Year 11 students across our family of schools as they approach their exams. It has taken the foundations of the Summer Masterclass Series and expanded those resources into an area dedicated to enhancing the revision experience of students. This is a key factor in ensuring that students achieve the best marks possible in their exams. It is the aim that LearnED will continue to expand over the coming terms, becoming a staple of the student experience at TTCT. It will also become accessible to key stage 3 students, cementing revision strategies as early as possible in a student’s mindset.
Speaking on the launch of LearnEd, Curriculum Director Marie Sly said: ‘I am very proud to see LearnEd up and running, giving our students this range of materials and accessibility complements each School’s in-house provisions. This platform is one step closer to guiding our students to achieve their absolute best over the Exam period’.
Executive Headteacher for Quality Education, Andy O’Brien also added: LearnED is a strong tool that Two Counties Trust students will be able to use to prepare for their exams and achieve the best results that they are capable of. I’m looking forward to seeing the platform grow as it expands to become useful in the lives of all our students.
