On Sunday 04th June a student of Heritage High School competed in the Great Grimsby run, the accomplishment of months of preparation and hard work.

Heritage student Katie completed the 10k run alongside around 2,500 fellow runners. while making it to the finish line is a phenomenal achievement within itself, Katie also incredibly set herself a brand new PB of 41 minutes and 32 seconds. this saw her finish as the very first U20 female competitor! This incredible time also meant that Katie finished the race as the 10th overall female runner in what has been described as a very large and competitive field.

Heritage High School is always proud to celebrate the achievements of it’s students both inside and outside of the classroom. Katie has shown tremendous ambition, one of the core values of The Two Counties Trust.

This achievement by Katie is another shining example of the hard work and dedication of the Heritage High School P.E. department which over the last term has included both the District Indoor Athletics competition as well as the Young Leaders award.

Thank you to all staff and well done to all students involved in these fantastic events!
